| When you arrive at Sandgem Town, Prof. Rowan's assistant will meet you at the entrance and escort you to the research lab. You'll run into your friend again.
When you confront Prof. Rowan, he will see that you treated your Pokemon well, so he will let you keep it, and even rename it if you wish. He will ask you for a favor in return: to travel through Sinnoh and collect info of all of the Pokemon in a Pokedex. You now have the Pokedex, and the ability to record all the info of the Pokemon you will encounter. |
When you leave the lab, Prof. Rowan's assistant will take you on a little tour of the town and what all it has to offer, which isn't much. You will first pass by the Pokemon Center, where you can heal your Pokemon for free, so be sure to check out that place a lot. After that, you will pass by the Pokemart, where you can buy various items to help you along the way. Every Pokemart in each town is different in terms of what items they sell, so be sure to check out all of them. After you pass by the Pokemart, the assistant will send you home to tell your mom about your new job.
After you visit your mom, you will find Prof. Rowan's assistant waiting for you at the edge of the grass on Route 202. She (or he if you picked a female trainer) will show you how to catch wild Pokemon and give you five Pokeballs to get you started.
Be sure to heal your Pokemon at the Pokemon Center before you go on if need be, because you will encounter trainers where you will need to battle. After you heal, head north to arrive at Jubilife City.
